Crispy crunchy onion pakora flavors in waffle form without any deep frying using Kodiak mix, greek yogurt and optional egg whites!
Crispy onion pakora and kadak masala chai on rainy day is a total vibe. But every time it rains, its not ideal to deep fry foods if you trying to keep up with healthy eating. However that does not mean you deprive yourself from eating foods that you truly love! I love playing around with healthy ingredients to come up with my favorite foods that I can consume on regular basis. And these Kodiak Onion Pakora Waffles are exactly that!

Onion pakora contains chickpea flour as a base. However I like using kodiak power cakes flapjack and waffle mix since I tend to avoid deep frying. And using waffle mix to make waffle makes total sense to get the right texture. Adding non fat plain greek yogurt and egg whites instead of water adds that extra touch of protein. And the rest is easy peasy, sliced onions, some spices and boom! Perfectly flavored and textured Onion Pakora Waffles are ready!
Eating healthy does not have to be difficult or suffering. And this recipe is a perfect example of that! These waffles are also great for making ahead. Make a big batch of them and Cilantro Mint Chutney on weekend. Then simply warm them up on toaster oven whenever you want to enjoy them!

I really hope you give this easy simple delicious recipe a try! Please leave me a comment below with your feedback on how you like this recipe. Or simply tag me on Instagram @myvegetarianroots.
