Peanut Chaat – Collegian Dana

Peanut Chaat – Collegian Dana

Peanut Chaat – Collegian Dana is loaded with peanuts, onions, tomatoes, spicy green chutney, cilantro, chaat masala, lime juice and sev.

Peanut chaat is one of the very famous street foods in India, specially Surat. Surat is a small city in the state of Gujarat. It is called Surati Collegian Dana. You can find it anywhere you go in the city, especially outside colleges. Students sit on their bikes outside colleges around this snack stand, eat peanut chaat and socialize. Yes, it’s a thing in India and I miss it so much.

It is so easy to make. Mix all the ingredients together, sprinkle some sev – thin fried chickpea flour noodles, and it is ready to eat! It is perfectly spicy, tangy, crunchy snack which is vegan and gluten-free! This is one of those dishes I love enjoying on warm days with ice cold beer or iced tea. How do you like to enjoy your chaat? I hope you make it and like it as much as I do. If you do, tag me on Instagram @myvegetarianroots.
