Boil frozen peas and string beans. Do not over boil it, the string beans should have some crunch to it after boiling. Once boiled, strain it and keep it aside.
Heat oil in shallow wide pan.
Add chopped serrano, minced garlic, grated ginger and chopped white part of the scallions to the oil.
Saute on medium heat for a minute or two, or until the raw smell of garlic disappears, making sure it does not burn.
Add chopped onions, grated cabbage and carrots.
Saute on high heat for couple of minutes.
Add boiled peas and string beans. Also add black pepper, white pepper, dark soy sauce and salt. Mix well.
Turn the heat to medium heat. Add steamed rice. Mix well gently, making sure the rice does not break. Leftover/a day old cooked rice that is al dente and not mushy is preferred for this recipe.
Once mixed well, cover it and cook it for a minute or two.
Turn the heat off, add chopped cilantro and scallions. Serve it hot!! It just taste amazing by itself!!
