Air Fried Chilli Fries

Indo Chinese air fried chilli fries coated with chili ginger garlic sauce and mixed with charred onions and bell peppers

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Frozen French Fries Walmart great value Crinkle Cut
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 cup Sliced Onions
  • 1 cup Sliced Green Peppers
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Grated Ginger
  • ½ Sliced Serrano
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce use less if using dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Rice Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • tsp Salt
  • 2 Chopped Scallions
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Cilantro
  • ½ tsp Toasted White Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  • AIR FRY OPTION - Air fry frozen french fries on 400° for 10-12 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Once done, keep them aside. I used Crinkle cur frozen fries from Walmart- great value.
  • BAKE OPTION - Preheat oven on 425° F, once pre-heated bake frozen fries for 15-20 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Keep it aside.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a wok/pan.
  • Add minced garlic, grated ginger, sliced serrano and chopped white part of the scallions.
  • Once raw smell of garlic goes away, add sliced onions and green pepper.
  • Saute them on high flame till they start to char but still crunchy.
  • Add soy soy sauce, sriracha sauce, rice vinegar and tomato ketchup. Mix well.
  • Add air fried french fries. Mix well again.
  • Add salt (if needed) and pepper. Mix well.
  • Garnish it with chopped white sesame seeds, cilantro and scallions. Serve them hot!
