Maple Sriracha Tofu

Maple Sriracha Tofu

Sweet, spicy and tangy Tofu, marinated in maple/honey sriracha sauce and simmered in similar flavor sauce.

Tofu is one of the best and easiest plant-based ingredients with good amount of protein. Tofu itself is very bland. It does not have any flavor to it. However, It soaks up any flavors very well due to its spongy texture. Therefor tofu is a great option for marinating with any flavor you can think of! This particular dish uses maple/honey sriracha flavor for marinade. Then it is crisp up on the outside while still keeping it moist in the inside! It is then simmered in similar flavor sauce to give it that extra sweet, spicy and tangy kick!

This extremely flavorful tofu goes well with vegan fried rice, brown rice, white rice or quinoa. Serve it with side of steamed or roasted broccoli for adding fiber. Add air-fried or baked vegetable spring rolls to give it that crunch! Doesn’t that sound like a perfect meal?!?!
