Kachi Keri Margarita

Kachi Keri Margarita

Kachi Keri Margarita – sweet tangy spicy margarita made with raw mango juice flavors, mint, fresh ginger, some spices and just right amount of booz!!

I was at an Indian Grocery Store the other day to get my usual groceries. While I was walking through all the aisles, this bright green syrup caught my attention. The syrup that looked so familiar with a label “Kachie Karey Syrup”! So many childhood memories rushed through my head! I grew up enjoying kachi keri syrup. Especially on the ice gola, that is nothing but shredded ice globe on a wooden stick. The ice gola drizzled with refreshing sweet tangy raw mango syrup!

Kachi Keri Margarita

Those memories are from our summer vacations. Summers in India are very hot. Schools are closed for couple of months. I still remember that person’s name with ice gola stall. Champak kaka would ring this old school metal bell and all the kids from the same street would run to him with 25 to 50 paisa coin to get that ice gola! I did not have a rich or luxurious childhood, but the type of childhood I had I would not change for anything!! Memories like these are so precious to me and I will cherish them for rest of my life!!

Kachi Keri Margarita

I had to bring that raw mango syrup home with me and use it for my adult friendly boozy goodies!! First thing that came to my mind was ice cold sweet, tangy, spicy margaritas over lots of ice!! And hence this delicious post!! This has to be my most favorite margarita of all time. I am not a mixed/sweet drinks kinda gal, I am happy with my glass of wine. But this one right here, I keep going to over and over!!

Kachi Keri Margarita

I strongly suggest you try this while being responsible! I guarantee you will love it. My favorite is to have a big pitcher of this and hangout in the my backyard with my friends and family with some upbeat music!! And that’s how summers are done right!! If you like this drink, I urge you to try my BOOZY MASALA SODA. It is just as good! If you end up making it and liking it, tag me on Instagram @myvegetarianroots. I would love to see your recreation of this goodie!
Cheers!
